This post is a short follow-up on post “Brands of Old Shanghai”
The March 2011 issue of That’s Shanghai contains an interesting article on one of my favorite brand of Old Shanghai, Wahson (or HuaSheng) the main Chinese manufacturers of old electric fans that are now one of the symbols of 1930’s Shanghai (along with old phones and bankers lamps).
The brand of cosmetics Shanghai Vive, that is supposed to be the oldest brand of cosmetics in Shanghai (with a short interuption between 1949 and 2009) has produced a new promotion video that can be found at: http://www.hercity.com/show/201007/11563.html
Clearly, I am not the only one to see a comeback in Old Shanghai brands.
